Our Affordable Housing Advisory Council gives us expert guidance on current affordable housing and economic development issues and helps shape our community grant and credit programs in response.
FHLBank San Francisco is inviting applications and nominations for an open seat on our Affordable Housing Advisory Council (Advisory Council).
For terms beginning in 2027, we are in search of one new Advisory Council member who has a proven track record of collaborating across public and private partnerships to create affordable housing for low- and moderate-income families and individuals, preferably in the Southern Nevada area.
We welcome your applications and nominations for this open Advisory Council seat! Applications and nominations must be submitted by May 21, 2026. A completed and submitted application is required but a nomination is not required to be considered. Nominations for individuals that do not submit an application will not be considered.
Eligibility requirements for all applicants are:
a resident of a state that is in the geographic district of the Bank: Arizona, California, or Nevada,
must be employed by an eligible organization. Eligible organizations are community and not-for-profit organizations that are actively involved in providing or promoting low and moderate-income housing, and community and not-for-profit organizations that are actively involved in providing or promoting community lending in the district,
must be able to attend meetings at least quarterly, if not attend all Advisory Council meetings,
act independently of management in advising the Bank, and disclose any relationships that may create actual or apparent conflicts of interest,
must have high ethical standards and integrity in both their personal and professional dealings, and
submit a completed application by the deadline.
Our 15-member Advisory Council, made up of senior executives who represent a broad range of affordable housing and community development organizations operating in the Bank's district of Arizona, California, and Nevada, helps shape the Bank's community programs, including the Affordable Housing Program (AHP). It also guides the Bank’s voluntary homeownership and economic development grant programs offered to the Bank’s member financial institutions.
