Sandra Gonzalez vividly recalls the surprise and excitement she felt the morning she learned that her family had been selected to be a Habitat for Humanity partner family. With additional support from the Bank’s WISH first-time homebuyer program, Sandra, her parents, and her daughters are the very proud owners of a three-bedroom home in the brand-new Rialto Ranch subdivision in Clovis, California.
The Quality Jobs Fund, seeded with a $100 million charitable donation from the Bank, made a $3.2 million investment in Pacific Community Ventures, a nationally recognized CDFI that supports Bay Area small businesses. CCEDA's Community-Based Social Enterprise Workshop

The California Community Economic Development Association (CCEDA) and the California Endowment are hosting a workshop in Los Angeles on how community-based organizations can develop social enterprises to provide alternative revenue sources. CCEDA received a $25,000 AHEAD grant through member Cathay Bank to support the workshop.
National CAPACD is hosting its annual convention, one of the largest gatherings of community development practitioners, community organizers, policymakers, and private sector partners committed to Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) populations. The Bank is among the sponsors of this event in Atlanta.
