Looking Forward to the Future

To save money, Nancy Flores and her two children lived with her children’s grandparents, while Nancy commuted more than an hour each way to her custodial job at the University of Arizona. With help from Habitat for Humanity and a $7,500 WISH Program matching grant, Nancy and her children now have a 3-bedroom home of their own in Tucson.

AHEAD Application Deadline: June 10

AHEAD grants provide early-stage funding for targeted economic development projects and non-AHP-eligible housing initiatives. Applications will be accepted from Bank members working with community groups from May 10 to June 10, 2013.

Bank Allocates $10 Million for First-Time Homebuyer Grants

The Bank awarded $7.8 million in WISH funds and $2.2 million in IDEA funds to 27 member financial institutions to help low- to moderate-income families and individuals buy a home. WISH and IDEA offer 3-1 matching grants of up to $15,000 to eligible first-time homebuyers.

AHP Grant Benefits Innovative Habitat for Humanity Project

The Bank was a key sponsor of Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco’s new condominium development in Daly City, which opened its doors to 36 families at a dedication ceremony attended by Rep. Jackie Speier (CA-14). A model for sustainable design, the project was awarded a $540,000 Affordable Housing Program grant through Bank member City National Bank.
